I'm sure you realize that I don't generally worry about mess when crafting with the kids, as that would be very limiting! I try to protect work surfaces and the kids as best as I can, and the rest is part of the deal! That being said, this is the perfect project to keep little hands busy after they've had a bath and are waiting for dinner, (like last night!) which by the way I've found is a very good time to do some simple projects.
All you need is some pipe cleaners and pieces of styrofoam for bases. And I used a little vanilla extract bottle for the vase, too cute! Little sculptures like this could be sweet table top decor any time!
