Here's a simple yet great looking way to make gelt bags or gift bags for Hannukah. Tulle obviously isn't just for weddings right? And while crocheted gelt bags or felt gelt bags might be wonderful too, these little tulle ones take only a few minutes and would be great for making party favors when there's more than just a few kids (or adults, of course....) And with all the time you'll save, why not add some extra cuteness to your party with my felt cake toppers here.
You'll Need:
- Light blue tulle netting
- Colorful ribbons
- Fun treats and small toys: chocolate money and dreidels being the traditional choice
How To:
Cut rectangles of tulle and using a sewing machine, sew up both sides. Attach a ribbon to the bag by sewing across the width of the ribbon at the midpoint of the ribbon. Of course this is optional, but then the ribbon will stay attached to the bag, which is much nicer!
No-Sew Option: Simply cut circles of tulle and wrap the tulle around your goodies and tie with a ribbon. It might be nice to secure the ribbon to the tulle either with a few dots of glue or a few stitched with needle and thread.
