Dear Readers, Chanukah crafting is just around the corner and so I thought I'd take a moment to let you know what items you might want to start saving, if you haven't been already! Mind you, I do not guarantee that I'll be using all of the items above, but there's a good chance, (with the exception of the wine corks, which I'll be working with probably after Chanukah) so it certainly pays to start saving now!
And yes, those are pumpkin seeds from "dlat" , Israeli pumpkin, a sign that I have reached an all new level of re-use! As I was cleaning a piece of pumpkin of its seeds I thought to myself "this is something I really should be saving." (By the way, my kids just love my simple and healthy pumpkin soup recipe here, you'll love it too!) And then, one of my readers dropped by Craft Schooling Sunday with a fun little kid's craft project using pumpkin seeds, immediate confirmation that my instincts were correct! Such is the life of an obsessed crafter with a audience of eager readers!
And by the way, add to your list of things to save, those throw away aluminum pans....just wash them out and save them, as that heavy aluminum is great for crafting!
