A sweet crocheted baby hat/cap....and quick too. Make it in stripes to match a sweater or baby blanket that you've made, though of course it's great on it's own too! It's definitely worth the extra hour or so. I have to give my husband credit for this one, as it was his idea that I needed make a hat to match the chunky crocheted granny hexagon sweater. And he was right! Top your little hat with a crocheted button cover, with no button inside, and you've got yourself something adorable. And made with love, of course!
While the sweater was made by crocheting together two strands of sport weight yarn, I decided to use one strand for the hat, since it was for a tiny baby. For an older baby one could certainly combine two strands of yarn, for a chunkier and warmer hat.
