Yes, quick paper bunting, or paper garlands, or party banners, in your favorite colors, made from what used to be garbage! But not anymore, right? Now you know better— never throw away the scraps from your punching adventures....you can use them to make a super quick and colorful bunting! And I'm sure you know this, but you don't need the excuse of a party to hang up colorful decorations, and especially now that it's the month of Adar, the most joyful month on the Jewish calender. And guess what, this year we have two Adars (it's leap year and we add an extra month) which gives us even more time for colorful crafting!
So my friends, let's add some joy to our homes with color! Start by making the paper flowers which I taught you about yesterday, and then use the leftovers to make these cute bunting banners. Just cut out squares and rectangles and get started!
I have to tell you though, they look much much better when hung across a space (even a corner) as opposed to hung on the wall flat. Take my word for it! I'm including the photo above to show you how they look hung on the wall, and you may think it looks cute, and maybe it would done your way, but in my house it was positively flat and boring. I was so dissappointed until I realized that I could rescue this project by simply taking it off the wall! And just in case you were wondering, all you need is some thick thread (I actually used crocheting string) and a nice sized needle, and just start stringing your pieces together one by one! Just be sure to keep the thread at the back of each piece, and enjoy!
