A paper lunch bag makes a great base for a creatively wrapped gift or a fun party favor bag! This idea came to me because after punching colored paper for making flowers, well I've got punching on the brain, and thought it would be nice to wrap a certain gift in colored tissue paper that is revealed beneath a top layer of punched shapes. Why a paper bag? Don't know exactly, but I think the results are pretty cute, and certainly something you all could do for Purim, or your next birthday party, or when the need arises to give a small gift.
You'll Need:
- a paper lunch bag
- colored tissue paper
- a small flower craft punch
- ribbon
How To: Punch around the edges of the bag, through four layers. Fold bag in half vertically, and punch again through two layers. There is one area that is unreachable with the punch, so I filled that in with the pink paper flowers, or better yet, you could use that area to affix a cute label of some kind. Wrap your gift in colored tissue paper and place in bag. Fold over top and run a ribbon through the center flower holes from back to front, tying a ribbon in the front. (This will keep the bag closed.) Make a little handle by affixing the wide ribbon on the front and back, with double stick tape—see photo. That's it! Make a bunch and line them up on a party table for a gorgeous display!
