A super simple baby hat to crochet, pattern here, and bring along as a gift when you visit your friend after birth! I gave this one yesterday, as I just couldn't show up empty handed right? And buying something certainly wouldn't be my style. So I used up some more of my yarn odds and ends, and I love the vintage look of this slightly unexpected color combo...light pink and orange. And by the way, if you're thinking of skipping the little bobble on top (which is actually my crocheted button cover pattern without the button inside) don't, it makes the whole hat!
And as for the little bunny? A childhood treasure of mine from Denmark, whose leather ears did not stand the test of time, though I still love the hand painted details. Maybe this explains my attraction to almost everything Scandinavian? I realize now, that childhood influences are very strong, so remember to fill your children's days with lots of crafts and creativity, so that they in turn will do the same for their children!
Stay tuned for lots of Purim crafts coming soon! In the meantime, start saving cereal boxes, cracker boxes, oatmeal cans, or plastic vegetable baskets or trays of any kind. And or course, soda bottles too, as well as any kind of plastic bottle, say from bleach or fabric softener. Just put all this stuff in a big box, and we'll be using it very soon!
