Pom pom bouquets, like the ones I posted about here, are fun anytime and if happen to have one on hand when the next family birthday rolls around, well you're in luck. You'll be able to whip up a fun pom pom birthday centerpiece like this one in no time. I'd suggest placing your pom pom birthday centerpieces in tall containers like this metal pitcher for the best results, as the large numbers need some height and look their best towering over the delicate pom poms. Wouldn't these be great Bar Mitzvah centerpieces, or even work really well for an anniversary party? Or substitute letters for numbers and you could make wedding or engagement party arrangements! Sky's the limit.
You'll Need:
- a pom pom bouquet, tutorial here
- wooden dowels
- colored card stock
- paint markers and fabric puff paint
- hot glue gun
How To: Draw outlines of your desired numbers on letter sized sheets of card stock. Cut out your numbers and decorate with fabric puff paint, if desired and if you have enough time to let the paint dry! If your arrangement will be in the center of the table you may want to make your number sticks two sided in which case you need to make a set of numbers for each stick that are mirror images of each other. Attach your numbers to the dowels with hot glue and stick them into your existing pom pom bouquet.
Once you realize how amazing and simple this pom pom birthday bouquet idea is, I'm quite sure you'll pull it out of your hat more than a few times! And the best part is, you'll be using this little trick to bring joy to others, which really is what it's all about, right?
