Here's a little reminder to appreciate the works of art that happen naturally around you, and to enjoy the amazing combinations of color found in nature! We are sad to say that my daughter's beloved oil painting teacher is moving far away, but we are happy to have these sweet reminders of the amazing impression she has left on my daughter's young life: a palette and a pair of beautiful lovebirds!
Though I do love animals and do want my children to experience the joy of having pets, I make enough mess of my own to even consider having birds in the house! Fortunately for me, our climate is mild enough most of the year to house birds in a draft free and shaded area in our courtyard. And I do think that the birds will have a much nicer life outside in the fresh air where they can feel the elements and even communicate with other birds. I honestly have mixed feelings about birds in cages, though to adopt birds who are in need of a good home is a nice thing to do, so there you have it! I just couldn't say no, could you?
