Yesterday after a very full afternoon of sourcing supplies for a design project my husband and I are working on, with two little boys in tow, we at long last made it to the seashore, the Mediterranean Sea, ahhhhhh. And while the sun was setting as we arrived, we still had a wonderful time, as there is something truly special about the beach at this hour!
No blazing sun to bear, a beach mostly to ourselves, and a certain calmness that comes with the setting sun. And no need to drag the kids out of the water, as the darkness sets a limit on our time, which is sometimes helpful! The ocean is about a 1 hour's drive from our home, and we don't get there nearly enough, so we were all thrilled to spend a little time by the sea. Even my husband who said it was too late to go the beach thanked me for not listening to him!
I happen to love this little beach as it has lots of patches of rocks and shells and other surprises, which I'll share with you soon, stay tuned!
P.S. You can see the photos of the nearby old city of Akko, on my previous post here.
P.S.S: To any of my readers who might like to visit this beach, a bit off the beaten track in Akko, drop me a line and I'll be happy to describe the location to you. This was our second visit to the very same spot, and we love it!
