At long last I have finally succeeded at crocheting a cute little pair of baby booties, and just in time to use as a gift topper on a gift for the newborn at his bris this past Thursday. I can't tell you all how many times I've tried making booties with strange results, and so am thrilled to have finally conquered the task, which really shouldn't be so difficult!
I'll be happy to share the pattern with you tomorrow, but thought I'd just drop in for a moment to inspire you with the idea of using a little hand made gift as a gift topper......I know, I'd rather give an entirely hand made gift too, but since it's not always possible, this is a great option! Of course there are so many other small gifts one can crochet, like key chains or pot holders, or little pouches, or pin cushions.....so go to town with this idea!
Wishing you all a joyful last night of Hanukkah! May we merit to illuminate the darkness in our troubled world, and remember to celebrate and give thanks for the wonderful things that exist at the other end of the spectrum.
