I made these hats for a community Purim party, and while Purim was yesterday in our city, Purim is today in Jerusalem, we are still in semi party mode!
- large sheets of metallic silver light weight cardboard
- a template for a party hat, with flaps, google it!
- contact paper
- craft punches
- hot glue
How To: Create your own template given the desired height of your hats, and affix tabs with hot glue. You can of course also make hats in a few sizes, and group them, as you can see below. Decorate with contact paper shapes and add an elastic chin cord if desired. You can also glue a pom pom to the top, which could look great! Enjoy!
Oh, and by the way, these centerpieces can be stored stacked and used for a few years in row, which is exactly what I did! No one really remembered that these were the same centerpieces from last year, and boy did it save the day during a really busy period when making centerpieces would have been nearly impossible!
Today the kids are off from school, and we're off to a little trip to the Hula Valley to enjoy the spring weather and some bike riding around the swamps! And then, it's time to buckle down with the Passover cleaning!
