Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, the Sukkot get together! One of my favorite Jewish holidays, Sukkot lasts 7 days, so all the preparations are enjoyed for a solid week! I spent three days preparing the Sukkah, and am thrilled with the results, fortunately! In most homes the mother says to the kids "it's your job to decorate the Sukkah" though in our home the mother says to the kids "it's my job to decorate the Sukkah." Of course I do encourage the kids to make decorations too, and my daughter is now old enough to lend a hand with some of my creations, so it really is a family effort. Hope to share some photos soon, but in the mean time, here are the features from last week's party:
Love this little play sukkah from design megillah, and round honey challah from Winnie.
Two creative sewing projects: festive fabric bunting from howling Liz and a skirt pattern one can play around with from threading my way.
Some fantastic crocheted jewelry: a button centered ring from little treasures and a gorgeous fall necklace also from little treasures
Love these cowboy crocheted booties from howling Liz, and a simple crocheted bag to customize with your favorite colors from homemade at my place.
Fun crocheted doilies from the crochet caretaker, and a fabulous crocheted pineapple skirt from lacy crochet (check out the photos on her blog).
Keep the kids busy with a nice tp tube octopus craft from there's just one mommy, and a fun make your own flip flops craft from helen clyde.
Make a fall craft with tp tubes, from gingerbread house, and a sweet crocheted sheep from bianca's homemade stuff. That's it for the features, what have you been up to?
