Is love in the air? That can really be the only explanation for why my eight year old chose to draw hearts a few weeks ago, oblivious to the holiday celebrated on Feb. 14th, as it is generally not celebrated here, and I was not doing any heart crafting (though I would have loved to crochet some hearts as I have done in years past, like this crocheted heart wall hanging), so we'll just leave it at that!
Interestingly enough, I wanted to mention that we have so many important holidays on our Jewish calender, keeping us more than busy, and today is actually Purim Katan, "little Purim" meaning that if this were not leap year, today would be Purim! So happy Purim katan to you all, and that means there's a whole month to get crafting for Purim in all its glory!
I'll leave you with this second drawing which is so very interesting, I'll have to remember to ask my son what he what thinking, certainly a gesture of creativity rather than an actual depiction of "love on the mind" which is surely what it looks like! All the best, and don't forget to treasure the drawings of the little ones in your life, they are truly precious!
