When a dear neighbor knocked on the door the other day with the request that I'd help her with some props for a Purim play that night, I had to decline as I was waist deep in centerpiece creations for that very same event. Needless to say, I just couldn't turn my friend away, and fortunately realized that my eleven year old daughter could certainly do the job, with just a bit of coaching from me while I wrangled with the glue gun. And so, two giant toothpaste tubes were born! Didn't she do a great job?
And I just love these headbands, which were used for a comical "commercial" for toothpaste. Sure is great to have a daughter who doesn't mind assuming some of the duties that come with the territory!
And by the way, props made from corrugated cardboard boxes and even just white paper and a thick black marker can be just as wonderful as something one might spend days on. A good thing to keep in mind with Purim celebrations just a week or so away!
