This week at Crafting A Future, while some of the girls used their egg carton flowers to decorate mirrors, others ditched the egg carton flowers alltogether and made these sweet rolled felt flowers to decorate their mirrors. This would be a perfect little project for a Bat Mitzvah, or a birthday party, and hey even boys could have fun making something for their mother or sister?
You'll Need:
- Inexpensive mirrors, these were 3 shekels each (less than a dollar)
- felt
- craft foam (optional)
- thin decorative ribbon
- hot glue
How To:
Make these rolled felt flowers by folding a strip of felt in half, cutting slits along the length, and then rolling starting from the center. A taller strip will produce loopy flowers, whereas a shorter strip will produce the denser flowers seen on the bottom mirror. Cut leaves from felt. Cover frame with ribbon using hot glue or tacky crafty glue, and attach flowers and leaves using hot glue. That's it!
