It is quite hot here in Northern Israel in July, which generally means that my container garden suffers, but this year on account I believe of some nice cool nights, all is well and there are lots of gorgeous blooms to enjoy. Above, my yellow Canna is stunning, and love the giant leaves.
These flowers, sorry forgot their name, re-seeded themselves and have filled the entire large pot holding my lemon tree. The original seeds fell from the balcony of my plant loving neighbor into my pot, what a great gift!
The climbing pink roses are looking great this year, and I now have hope that they may indeed reach that pergola sometime in the next few years......I've waited seven years so far, so a few more won't hurt!
A little lemon tree that had been kept in a dark covered porch by a grandmother of a friend is starting to recover with new growth on its way too leggy branches and even tiny lemons in sight!
And last of all, my hoya vine produced two stunning blooms this year, such a treat as not only does the plant look artificial so do the flowers. It sits right next to my front door and many guests have commented on its brilliant red leaves (new growth) and the flowers once they open, wow! Thats all for now, I'm off to cut back my petunias that are in need of a serious hair cut and maybe feed some of the plants, something I've just started this year. Happy container gardening!
