When you are the crocheter in the family, you certainly won't be surprised when young relatives request some crocheted scarves in specific colors, and if you're me you'll be overjoyed to know what exactly you can make them! My 3 neices requested scarves, as when I saw them a month or so ago, there was still plenty of snow everywhere. Now, the weather is warming up, but I'm thinking they might still have a few cool days and nights in which to enjoy the scarves I've made just for them, including this crocheted mosaic stripes scarf, which I actually crocheted before I crocheted the sister pattern, here.
This color combination may scream winter to some of you, but it looks great to me now as well, and would even be a great little summer accessory for those vacationing or living in areas where a little cool or windy weather is par for the course. Personally I'm partial to weather like that, and what avid crocheter wouldn't be?
