Yes, its true scarf season is coming to an end, but if you want to squeek in just one more project that is great for transitional weather, do consider this crocheted striped and ribbed scarf, as I have to say, it is truly lovely! I am giving this as a gift, so its going into the mail hopefully today, but if not I would surely be wearing it right now!
Yes the colors are very much winter colors, but here at least burgundy is in fashion, so it doesn't seem so out of place. Of course, you could choose to do an array of blues and greens, or even something more neutral, but do go with five colors for the best results. And of course one could crochet this using a more Spring like yarn like some kind of bamboo or cotton, but make sure the yarn is lightweight, as a cotton scarf using this pattern might feel a bit on heavy side.
