Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday! Thanks so much to everyone who stopped by last week to contribute their creativity in this little spot where bloggers from around the world convene every week! It's hard to believe that Passover has been over for a week now, as we're still trying to put the house back together after the big change-over that takes place in our kitchen, as well as all the other places in our home on account of welcoming a pack of guests and trying to get organized before the holiday.
We are now in the 49 day period on the Jewish calendar called the "Omer" which is a period of mourning between the second night of Passover and the joyful holiday of Shavous. We observe this period by refraining from listening to music, holding weddings, or other joyful parties, at least until the 33rd day, which is L'ag B'Omer. After L'Ag B'Omer there is a difference in what is observed depending on whether the family/person is of Ashkenazic of Sephardic origin. Fortunately there is no problem with crafting, so lets get this party started!
