Aren't these petunias spilling over this window box just gorgeous? There is nothing quite as lovely as beautiful flowers spilling out of window box type containers, and this little wall top container garden always looks amazing, so I just had to share it with you once again. Of course the location on the balcony of an old stone home is stunning in itself, but truthfully a great little container garden full of a variety of plants and flowers looks amazing anywhere. So don't be tempted to say "my house will never look like that!"
And just by the way, yesterday I spotted the secret to this little garden's success: a drip watering system and meticulous attention to replacing spent plants and trimming those that are flourishing. Even this petunia got trimmed so its a good thing I took a photo when i did.
Petunias, ivy (that will always look great) and a variety of geraniums, that are also a safe bet and look great.
This lily is a surprise for a window box, but the height is great and the plant appears to be happy as can be!
A sweet rose trained as a standard is also a surprise, but it works! And these white and pink geraniums, mixed with some red ones, gorgeous and not stop bloomers! That is it for a peek at this little garden, I've got a few more container gardens to share with you, so I may just call this garden week here on the blog, as the crafting has taken a back seat to some other creative endeavors that i can't share with you just yet!
