Our pink almond blossoms are on the verge of blooming, which is the first sign of spring here in Northern Israel, so this pink wavy ribbed cowl is right on time and a perfect Spring accessory! I just love cowls, button up ones that is, and even wear them indoors all winter long. So when it occurred to me to use this space dyed pink yarn to make a cowl of some kind, I just had to get to work so that I could still enjoy it this year! Given my tendency to leave projects without ends woven in, and no buttons, well this is truly a miracle, yippee, especially since I made this just yesterday.
Looking for a quick project that uses only one ball of yarn, namely a 100 gram ball of fingerling weight yarn, this might just be it!
The double crochet stitch is perfect as it allows one to really button up the cowl anywhere if one desires, makes the project go quickly, and shows off the yarn nicely. The wavy stitch gives the piece a nice look, and ribbed to boot for just a bit of extra coziness!

And if you don't read diagrams, by all means, run don't walk to your nearest tutorial, because diagrams are the way to go, no question about that. Consider this your first step, not to worry it is really simple!
Yarn: 100 g/360m, which I believe is fingerling weight or baby weight. 3.5mm hook specified
Hook: 4.5 mm
Finished Dimensions: 28cm x 68cm
Foundation Chain: 51 chains
Button Placement: Place buttons according to photo above and you will see that there are button holes naturally occurring in the pattern, just make sure your buttons fit through the holes!
