Reflections On Lake George's Northern Outlet

erThis post speaks for itself, as the reflections on the waters of Lake George's northern tip were truly enchanting on our visit last summer.

Don't forget to spend quality time outdoors, it is soooooo important, with the goal that screen time = outdoor time! And folks that connect with nature not only benefit in so many ways health-wise, but it also helps one boost the creativity gears! Five Nights On Lake George's Very Northern Tip, WOW!

Last summer we spent five nights in this gorgeous spot on the Northern tip of Lake George in the town of Ticonderoga. I was truly counting my blessings as renting on line vacation properties is always a bit of a mystery. This one was a win win, as while the house was simple and thus the nightly rate was reasonable, the property was amazing. They are if course booked for this summer, and if you want to reserve the best places for low prices, start your search months ahead. In the mean time, enjoy my photos....ahhhhhhhh

Visit The Adirondacks And Go Lake Hopping!

Last year on our yearly adventures in North American we drove through the Adirondack mountains on our way to Lake George, and well, actually we got a bit lost, on account of no cell phone service! I was actually really happy to see some of the places I'd read about, like Tupper Lake and Long Lake and of course Raquette Lake as well, seen here. And let me tell you, the Adirondack mountains are full of lakes and of course mountains and just all around gorgeousness, so much so that this year we'll actually be spending at least four nights in the region, can't wait! In the mean time, have a peek at some of my photos from last year, and do think about visiting the regions yourself, if you are a nature lover that is......if not, head to Manhattan!

DIY Pineapple Top Plant In Just MInutes Makes A Great Summer Centerpiece!

Pineapples are a motif that is all the rage right now, so why not go all the way and make some real plants from pineapple tops. It only takes a few minutes and you also get to enjoy the pineapple, a healthy way to add sweets to your next party. Truthfully pineapple top plants would make great party centerpieces, especially since you can then make platters of fresh pineapple to serve, and you can let guests take them home as party favors.

What can I say, I'm just crazy about this idea, and was so thrilled when my husband brought home a pineapple whose top was in good condition.......not to mention a pineapple that was grown in Israel! Pineapples here are on the expensive side as well, so getting a little plant out of the deal is certainly wonderful for those of us who fall into the green thumbed plant loving category.

Crocheted T-Shirt Yarn Flower Medallion Stool Cover

One of my very favorite things to crochet is a stool cover, and here are my two new favorites.........in bright colors to match my all new Moroccan turquoise couches, really! And the fun thing about these crocheted stool covers is that they are crocheted using industrial t-shirt yarn, so each one only takes around 2 hours or even less, especially once you get the hang of it. So if you don't own any round stools, run to get some, because, take my word for it, this crochet project is a must!

Welcome to Craft Schooling Sunday, thanks so much for joining me here! The summer is just zooming by, and I'm hoping to get in my crocheting by the lake dreams realized in just a few weeks, can't wait! We are heading out for our yearly rondezvous with family in North America, so I'm now scrambling to come up with a bunch of content so I don't have to hang a "gone fishing" sign!

Fortunately I do have a ton of travel photos to share, and funny thing is, I have yet to share all the photos from last years vacation, but will be posting those over the next few weeks, just in time to share some more, hopefully equally as interesting as last years, fingers crossed!
