Yes, it is true, I did share this Hanukkah DIY tablecloth with you last year, but truth is it is such a keeper I just had to dust it off and share it with you again, as Hanukkah is coming in about 6 weeks, so now is the perfect time to get crafting! This DIY Hanukkah tablecloth would also make a great gift, as it is so simple to make, and the results are truly fun and fabulous. if you are a sewer, you could use this idea to make fabric with which to sew up some fun gifts for Hanuukah like pouches, pillow covers, napkins, table runners, you name it!
In true CJM style I actually raided my linen closet and used a sheet for this, always preferable to actually buying something, right? It is true, that sheet was part of a set, but no one even noticed that it was missing. So, lets get started, shall we?
You'll Need:
- a white sheet or tablecloth
- spray fabric paint
- freezer paper
- an iron
- a large surface, I used the floor
How To:
So simple, really! Just make some snowflakes from freezer paper, iron them on, and spray your tablecloth! For complete in depth instructions, with photos, check out my post on Houzz.com, and while you are there, could you leave me a little comment, or add it to your ideabooks?
And of course, if you're going to make a fun tablecloth for Hanukkah, why not whip up some perler bead hanukkah cookies as well? A fun craft to do during hanukkah, as well as a great craft activity to set up for little visitors, enjoy! And for those of you who are actually paying attention, yes I did show a teazer for this tablecloth last year when I posted the idea for the hama bead hanukkah craft, but the project didn't quite make it in time through the editing process over at Houzz.com to get featured, so it was saved for this year, and I can't say that I'm complaining as some new projects to post right about now suits me just fine!
