Crocheted Doll Bassinet Using T-Shirt Yarn

I needed an adorable handmade gift for a sweet three year old girl who loves her "babies" and this crocheted doll bassinet using t-shirt yarn seemed simple enough, and with great results, so why not give it a try? And, great news, the gift was received with much excitement, and the little three year old told me "I told you to give me this" meaning "this is exactly what I wanted, though I didn't know I wanted it." Soooooo, fellow crocheters, give this project a try, it is really quite simple, and you too can delight a little baby doll lover in your life. And of course while you are at it, don't forget to make a simple no-sew fleece doll blanket to complete the gift! Ah yes, and just by the way, this was crocheted with t-shirt yarn and a relatively smal hook (6.5mm) but you could also crochet this pattern using cotton rope, which would be great as well. I love that the t-shirt  yarn bassinet is machine washable, which will likely be necessary after carrying around all those baby dolls! Okay, lets get crocheting.....

Welcome back to Craft Schooling sunday, so great to reconnect here! I hope everyone had a great holiday season and wishing you all the very best in 2019. Winter is the perfect time to get crafting, so looking forward to lots of inspiration from all my beloved contributors, regulars and new comers, don't be shy please! I have been delving into painting which has taken up the majority of my creative efforts, so will share a few photos of the progress soon, as well as lots of crochet projects that are still waiting patiently to be photographed, and hopefully some new projects for the Jewish holiday of Tu B'Shevat, the New Year For The Trees, coming up in a few weeks. No-Sew Fleece Doll Blanket Craft For Kids And Adults

Ta-da, I took the box with all my fleece scraps down from the attic, and quickly whipped up this adorable no-sew fleece doll blanket as a gift for a beloved three year old, to keep her baby dolls warm. The great thing about fleece is that it doesn't unravel, so like felt it is the perfect fabric for no-sew crafts. It is true, there are many qualities of fleece out there, but for projects like this one, why not just use that $2 fleece blanket from the dollar store, and use the rest to make some wraps, scarves, or even a full size baby blanket? In this case the polka dot fleece is very thin, and the red fleece is much thicker, so the two layers makes a nice blanket, and just as cute as can be, right? This project is great for kids, with assistance, or without for those say ten and up, as perfection is not required for great results. Let's get crafting, shall we?
