I made this dreidel shaped pillow a few year back, but thought I'd share it with you again as it is truly a fun item to bring out for the holiday or give as a gift. Enjoy!
It is true, you don't see a whole lot of sewing projects from me, as I'm quite a rookie, but I just couldn't resist trying my hand at this idea that i've had running around my head for a few years now: a dreidel shaped pillow with a little pocket to hold Hanukkah prizes! It is a perfect project for those new to sewing (or not) and uses a pillow insert so that you can easily store it flat until next year.
Then again, this pillow is so adorable, that you may just want to have a pink dreidel hanging around all year long, why not? I do love how it looks paired with my crocheted trim lampshade.
And in addition to the optional pocket on the front, it also has a pocket closure, so no zippers to worry about, and really just a fun sewing project to bring some Hanukkah cheer into you home!
I didn't mention this in the article, but truthfully if you don't sew or have a machine, this whole project could be made using fusible binding or any iron-on adhesive, so no exucses! So check out the complete tutorial right here, and while you're at it leave me a comment to let me know what you think, pretty please?
