My container garden in Northern Israel is now full of color and I just had to share a few photos with you! Looking back at the archives, I see that late June early July has been the time, every year, that the garden comes alive with color. The roses bloom in all their glory earlier but many of the others wait until mid-summer, namely now! And friends, all the blooms you'll see here are from perennials that require very little care, so if you live in a similar zone to mine, give some of these plants a try! Ready for a little tour? Lets go into the (container) garden.......

Wow, wow, wow, my red canna is putting on a show once again.......and blooms with a view of Mount Meron, stunning! I LOVE canna, it dies back in the winter and comes back each spring, with huge leaves and then some wonderful blooms. I have both green canna (with yellow blooms) and red canna, take your pick!

Hello sweet white daisies that bloom several times a year and keep coming back year after year! When they fill the pot holding my lemon tree it makes me look like I actually know what I'm doing!

Love this salvia, which is so exotic and also comes back each year!

My beloved bougainvillea, blooms for months and months and survives the winter here, usually, though I did loose one large one this year, and so it goes.

Bower vine is a lovely plant with blooms to boot! My neighbor has one that has climbed up to the second story, though it is planted in a large built in container.

And don't forget oleander......poisonous to chlidren though so keep that in mind, but very hardy and comes in a few colors.
That is it for my garden tour, stay tuned for more!
