Our huge investment in the wonderful holiday of Passover is about to pay off when we sit down together at the Passover Seder table tomorrow night, phew! Almost there with of course lots of cooking left to do, but things are mostly under control with just last minute errands and household organizing to do. And of course, Passover wouldn't be Passover without a little something fun for the kids at the Passover Seder table, so this year I've created three sets of ten plagues cards that are just as cute as can be, and of course can be saved for years to come! And friends, this was also a recycling craft for me, as I used the metallic gold cardboard trays that were left at my door by an anonymous neighbor cleaning out their cabinets! Okay, ready to make some of your own cards, and yes maybe in the future there will be a printable, but for now you can simply download some clip art, right?
You'll Need:
- images of ten plagues printed on sticker paper, in the size that you desire, and the description also, which is on the back in hebrew (whoops forgot to photograph that)
- metallic gold cardboard (mine are upcycled baked goods trays left at my door by an anonymous neighbor)
- nice ribbon of some kind
- good scissors
- patience to cut everything out!
Tips:
- If you are able, even in a word document, make all your images the same size, and even consider rounded corners, like mine, which you can do with a frame if the background is white.
- Black and white images that kids could color might also be great
- Just use what you have at this point!
These cards will be placed at the tablesetting of each child, and then maybe they will decide to leave them at my house and I'll pack them up with the Passover dishes! I did make a 4th set for myself, well not yet adhered to cardboard, to hang as decor after the kids see their little surprise. Also I used up all the gold metallic cardboard, so hmmm for now. Of course I did use the scraps and saved the borders of the trays for another project, oh dear, after all that passover cleaning already saving? Sorry, can't help myself recycling crafts just bring me joy!Wrap up each little deck of cards, and give as party favors or use at the Passover Seder.
Wishing everyone a wonderful Passover holiday!
