I have to admit, this is one of the cutest crafts I've done lately, and I just can't wait to make more! Perfect for Rosh HaShana, and then bring your pomegranite branches into the succah! Use them to fill vases, or make garlands for the table or to hang overhead, on LED lighting or on rings hung horizontally.......or how about as part of a placecard/napkin ring? However you choose to use this idea, make a bunch as they are truly adorable. The traditional green and red is fun, but how about neutral colors or something unexpected? Okay, lets get started........
- green floral wire
- colord paper, any weight
- a glue stick
How To:
Make individual leaves by sandwiching a length of wire between two pieces of paper, affixed with a glue stick. You can cut the leaf shape either before or after, and could even make a whole row at one time and then fold the paper and cut. Make pomegranites in the same manner. Then cut a long piece for a central stem, and wrap leaves and fruit around that stem. Wrap in an x fashion so pieces stay in one place without rotating around the central stem. That is it, so very simple, and great for making using patterned paper, metallic paper or anything you can think of! Make large versions or tiny versions, or something in between. Enjoy!
