Revisiting A Favorite Park On The Banks Of The Jordan River

Yesterday we were looking for a spot to spread a picnic blanket and returned to this wonderful park on the banks of the Jordan river, just South of Kiryat Shemona. One parks the car at a parking lot just before "gesher Yosef", then crosses the bridge and goes down into the park.

First of all, chodesh tov, wishing you all a joyful new month as we welcome the month of Adar, the month on the Jewish calendar that is all about simcha, joy! Yesterday my kids all had a half day of school in honor of Rosh Chodesh, so we took a little trip about thirty minutes from home to see some water! And specifically to see the Jordan river where it empties into the Kinneret (Sea of Galilee) and to also witness the great fact that after many years of drought, the Kinneret has returned to a normal level, a truly happy situation!

On The Banks Of The Jordan River: An Idyllic Picnic Spot!

During our family outings this Pesach, we finally got a little bit acquainted with the Upper Galil, in the far north of our beautiful country. And I'm happy to say that areas that were once totally unknown are now like familiar friends. Like this gorgeous spot on the banks of the Yarden (Jordan) River which we enjoyed on not one but two holiday afternoons!
