A Reader Round-Up Of Creative Jewish Mom Crafts

One of the greatest pleasures of sharing projects on this blog is when readers are inspired to do them as well, and share the results! Here are a few projects that readers have made (two as long as two years ago.....whoops!) with great success:

Winnie is a master baker and had no problem making a fabulous version of my flower shaped challah, just in time for Shavuos, which starts tomorrow night. And for those of you who are pressed for time, this one is almost as simple as braiding a challah, go for it!

Love this soda bottle version from adventures in upcycling, of my woven bleach bottle basket, and  this sweet card from no clever craft, using my super simple paper flower tutorial.

Sewing pot made this no-sew bow tie fleece scarf, using my no-sew fleece ruffled scarf. A great little project to make this summer and pack away to have as a bunch of gifts come the rush of the holiday season, right? Plus fleece is very often on sale during the summer!

Soda Bottle Apple Revisited- Reader's versions!

Now is apple season, and around here apples are not just about back to school and Fall, they're also about Rosh HaShana, so apple themed crafts are perfect right about now! With Rosh HaShana just ten or so days away, my soda bottle apple gift box is a perfect project, and I was so very happy to see two great versions of it on the web, so I just had to share them with you!

The teacher appreciation gift version from bethapalooza is perfect, and I love the fact that she changed some of the details, for the better even! Joyful Jewish took my idea and used it not as a gift box but as a hanging decoration, which could be perfect for Rosh HaShana and then useful in the Succah!

A Reader-Roundup Of CJM Inspired Projects!

One of the rewarding parts of running this blog is connecting with readers, and especially those who have been inspired by some of my projects to make their own versions! So while I'm celebrating Passover with my family, I thought I'd share with you some projects that readers have sent in or linked to on their own blogs.

Fresh off the press, is this really great version of my ten plagues Passover placards, sent in by a reader Megan, who said that the project was a great hit at their seder! I'm just as proud as can be! And crafty Abby, a mom and midwife at Hadassah EinKerem hospital in Jerusalem finds time to craft for the holidays—she wrote asking advice on how to use these pre-cut matzo circles, and I suggested using them in my paper accordian-fold medallion bouquet. I think she did a great job!

Mrs. Soma Karnavat of India also sent in two wonderful crafts made from projects on my blog. Her toilet paper tube wreath was inspired by my toilet paper tube wreath, and her fun book page wreath was inspired by my sunburst book page mirror.

And now, two wonderful reader projects for our friends in the Southern Hemisphere for whom fleece and polar bears are season-appropriate right about now! Love this no-sew fleece hat from creative endevours
which was made using my no-sew fleece hat tutorial. And I just love Aunt Peaches cereal box gift bag, made after she was inspired by my cereal box gift bags.

I just love this crocheted granny vest that two girls being crafty made using my crocheted granny vest pattern. And this felt mixed bouquet is just too sweet, from made by Trisha, using my felt bouquet tutorial.

I just love how roots of simplicity used my magazine page nesting bowl project to make some wonderful spring baskets, and me making do made a lovely crocheted flower headband using my crocheted rosette tutorial.

Anita made this fun bulls-eye pot holder based on the crocheted "daisy wheel" pattern I used and shared here. And this amazing toilet paper tube wreath from noisy pitta was inspired by my toilet paper tube wall art.
